About this resource
As a charity we are encouraging educators working with children aged two to seven to run a Beep Beep day on a day of their choice to teach children about the basics of road safety. This event is a great way to involve parents as well as part of a UK-wide initiative by Brake, the road safety charity and Churchill Car insurance. Through this sustained shared thinking families will be able to consider the vital steps they need to take to keep themselves and others in their communities safe. Beep Beep Days have continuous involvement running creative educational activities using guidance and free resources from Brake, such as creating a poster of hand prints saying 'we hold hands', singing road safety songs and baking traffic light biscuits. They are a great way for nurseries, playgroups and parents to get behind Brake's GO 20 campaign, calling for safer roads and communities encouraging families to walk and cycle for their health, enjoyment and sustainable travel. Children taking part can also raise funds in support of Brake's work campaigning for safer roads. These events go a long way in supporting bereaved families and injured crash victims. Register now to run a Beep Beep! Day and receive a free resource pack, including posters, stickers and activity ideas.
